FWTS COVIDEO-15 / Kwan-Sao

Lockdown video lesson #15 is all about the Kwan-Sao, a rotational movement which can be applied to one or both of your arms.

First introduced within Section 1 of the Siu-Nim-Tao form, Kwan-Sao moves between the Cross-Body Tan-Sao and the Lower Bong-Sao positions, in a way which allows for rapid recovery and even a method of breaking grips.

FWTS COVIDEO-8 / The IRAS

Video No.8 for you all to get stuck into. This one is all about the Internal Rotation Adduction Stance (or IRAS for short), the iconic Wing Chun stance which is widely misunderstood, and therefore widely used in less-than-useful training exercises.

Although the IRAS is taught and used right from within the 1st Student Grade, it’s not until the Intermediate Stage that it gets wider application, appreciation and understanding. Enjoy! πŸ™‚

FWTS COVIDEO-6 / The Point-Stance

Here is another free instructional video for you. This one is all about the Point-Stance, one of the first techniques to be taught to students, the first piece of footwork to be found in the Siu-Nim-Tao form, and one of the simplest to misunderstand.

Ideal for beginners and those at the Foundation Stage of training, but very useful to revisit at any point in your personal kungfu journey. Stay safe and keep practicing! πŸ™‚

FWTS COVIDEO-5 / Mobility Techniques & Footwork Theory

Another day, another video. Here is No.5 to help all students during the UK lockdown period.

This one is all about mobility techniques and footwork theory, the differences between the various kinds of footwork, and how the classifications are used to teach, analyse, and develop constant precise movement over time.

Ideal for beginners and those at the Foundation Stage of training, but useful to revisit at any point in your journey. Stay safe and keep practicing! πŸ™‚

FWTS COVIDEO-4 / Sao-Chong

Video No.4 to help students practice during this CoVid19 lockdown period.

This video is all about the Sao-Chong technique, a movement which starts the Siu-Nim-Tao and all other Forms within the system. Simple at first glance, look a little deeper and see what’s involved in performing this movement correctly.

Ideal for beginners and those at the Foundation Stage of training, I hope this explanation sheds more light on even the simple things we do all the time. Stay safe and keep practicing! πŸ™‚

FWTS COVIDEO-3 / Complete Chum-Kiu Form

Another video to help students practice during the Coronavirus lockdown period.

This video shows a relaxed demonstration of the complete Chum-Kiu, the second Form of the Federation Wing Tsun System.

Ideal for those at the Basic Stage of training, this video includes commentary and captions showing the start point for each of the three parts / eight sections within the form. Practice every day, along with the other videos, and emerge from your quarantine a better kungfu student! πŸ™‚

FWTS COVIDEO-2 / Complete Siu-Nim-Tao Form

As promised, here is another video to help students practice during the CoVid19 lockdown period.

This video shows a relaxed demonstration of the complete Siu-Nim-Tao, the first Form of the Federation Wing Tsun System.

Ideal for those at the Foundation Stage of training, this video includes commentary and captions for each and every technique within the form. Practice it with me every day, and come out of quarantine knowing a little bit more about your kungfu practice. πŸ™‚

FWTS COVIDEO-1 / Full-Body Warm-Up

As promised, here is the first video to help students through this CoVid19 lockdown period.

This video demonstrates a 15-minute, full-body warm-up sequence which is easy to practice, simple to follow, and covers every muscle & joint in the body. Do it with me every morning and keep yourself moving.

Stay safe, stay strong, and look out for each other. πŸ™‚
