The Federation Wing Tsun Training Programme
My official training programme makes up one part of the complete Federation Wing Tsun System.
The programme is very thorough, and ensures all the skills and knowledge within the martial art system is shared with every student. Follow it carefully and you shouldn’t miss anything.
My training programme has been developed and revised continuously since 1999. It draws upon the experience & expertise gained during many thousands of teaching hours, in many different environments and in different countries. It is a simple, step-by-step way to learn Federation Wing Tsun Kung-Fu, with progressive, structured lessons available for each & every grade.

There is no final grade in the Federation Wing Tsun System, no Master Grade 12. This is to signify that no matter how high you climb, how much you know, there will always be more to be learnt and experienced. In Kung-Fu as in life, there is far more than can be learnt in one lifetime, sadly.
What’s In The Grades?
Each of the grades is a self-contained set of skills and knowledge containing the following parts:
- Syllabus – outlines exactly which topics are to be covered in this grade.
- Training Programme – provides detail on each topic, plus suggestions as to how & when they are best trained.
- Assessment – which lets you check how well you’ve learned the syllabus material.
Each grade is still effective in isolation. If all you ever complete is the 1st Student Grade, you’ll still have gained some effective, practical martial skills, albeit ones that are limited to the statistically most common attacks.
However if you proceed further you’ll see that each grade builds upon the previous one. In time – and with dedicated effort – the entire martial art system is delivered piece by interlocking-piece, to each & every student who trains to make Federation Wing Tsun Kung-Fu their own.
The following pages will take you deeper into each of the three levels, and the stages/grades contained within:
